「藍の会」第一回、友人の言葉より・・・

facebookにあげてくださった友人の言葉が素晴らしいので、ここに転載させていただきます。邦楽が生き残れるかどうかは、彼女のこの言葉が端的に表していると思います。

Went to a shamisen concert of a former colleague and friend of mine when I worked in IT, who then quit to become a Geisha, and now is a kimono and shamisen string instrument instructor among other things.

ＩＴ系会社で働いてたとき営業担当の元同僚の三味線ライブへ行ってきました。退社後花柳界へ飛び込み、今着付け・三味線スクールなど幅広く活動しているという経歴になったことに驚かないような友達。

I am blessed to have a friend like her who is always introducing me to all these wonderful songs and Japanese history that not even your average Japanese person gets to be exposed to. When I found myself experiencing pure fun just from simply singing along to the few songs they played, I realized the ridiculousness of how this part of traditional Japanese culture remains mysterious even to its own people. I mean I couldn’t resist tapping my feet. Why can’t I discover and like shamisen music just like my indie, rap, electronic, etc. But it really is up to those who know the craft to help share it with the masses and I really think my friend can be one of many who is up for the task.

彼女との出会いのおかげで自分はこういった世界を普通に知ることができるから、今日とても楽しかったしよかったけど、それと同時に会場見渡すとみんなうちよりだいぶ年上の人たちばかり。別にそれが悪いという意味ではないが何よりもものすごいもったいないと思った。

今日きいた曲の中で普通にうたって楽しいものが多かったのでもっと普通に気軽にきく機会を増やす必要があると思う。海外からミステリアスな世界だと思われてしまうのはそもそも一般の日本人から理解を得てないのが一番の原因な気がした。自然と足でリズムをとりたくなるような曲ばかりだったのに、何で自分が普段きくようなインディーズ、ラップ、エレクトロ系の音楽のように三味線の音楽を知って好きになるチャンスないの？本当もったいないなと心の底から思ったのが今日の感想かな。ただそれと同時に自分の友達ならどんどん発信していける感じがしたんで、これからの活動が楽しみになった。
